Description
This is my very first Pippin. It was made around 1992. Its yellow finish is similar to the type originally created by guitar manufacturers during the early days of black-and-white television. During broadcasts, its yellow color produced a desirable high contrast against a performer’s dark suit.
The finish, created by a bleaching process using caustic lye, is rather nasty to apply, but nevertheless is a very attractive yellow.
