This instrument was commissioned by a fellow that performs in a group playing an electrified 21-7/8″ scale acoustic guitar with a piezo pickup on it. He tunes it E-A-D with heavy strings. It is his thing, that’s what he does.
Who am I to question his thing? I am here to help. So, I suggested that I make him a Luddite version complete with a three pole-piece humbucker pickup and special custom hardware. I love this kind of thing. He called my bluff and here it is.
