Description

Our Electric Guitar Making Summer Camps offer a special series of classes scheduled so that the student can progress through a logical series of curriculums and get an original custom electric guitar or bass project underway quickly.

Students will design and embark upon making their own custom string instrument with guidance from an experienced luthier in a professional workshop.

No drawing, design or previous workshop experience is necessary. Students work at their own pace.

This is not a kit course. This course teaches how to design and make an electric guitar from raw materials and stock or custom hardware.

Seize this rare opportunity to make a successful first lap into a lifetime of Luthiery!

Please note: Most students complete their first guitar in 100 – 125 hours depending upon the complexity of the design and their pace.

While completing a guitar in under 100 hours is possible, it is unlikely. However students with well develop shop skills may find their work goes very quickly.

The longer camps offer more hands-on work, instruction and the time to see the project through with guidance from the instructor.

The shorter courses are perfect for those who prefer to work on their own at home or students who will complete this project on their own schedule at the school in our Open Workshops.
