This electric guitar is the loudest of Specimen’s blocked-bridge aluminum models. It has an extremely broad frequency response, with subharmonics and overtones dancing around in fiery little rings inside.
I have been wanting to build this aluminum guitar for some time. The idea was finally brought to fruition for Alan Sparhawk of the band Low (pictured here). He liked the concept and wanted a mini-humbucker in the neck position.
Alan purchased this Aluminum guitar after recording Low’s album “Things We Lost in the Fire” with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio.
