Aluminum Kay
$18,000
This electric guitar was made for Archer Prewitt of the Coctails and The Sea and Cake. Its body shape and scale are reminiscent of a Kay electric. The maple neck is V-shaped, like those of some of the old parlor guitars, and has an aluminum-flake finish.

“Ian sprayed a silver flake on the neck which is absolutely beautiful. The aluminum guitars he makes have an almost acoustic property to them; the metal gives them a certain subtle iciness; and, in general, his guitars have an amazing attack to them. I can really appreciate the craftsmanship and the artistry that he weaves into his work.”
