The Workshop. On June 2, 2003, Specimen moved its Division Street business to a new space on Chicago's westside. Located at 1240 N. Homan Ave, the shop is in a large, brick industrial building and is four times the size of our original Division St. shop. Here we will continue our focus on repair service for guitars, stringed instruments and tube amplifiers.
- Since 2000, Specimen has operated out of both locations; Division Street focusing on repair and retail sales while Homan Ave. was our custom-building facility. Today, we have combined the operations allowing us to better facilitate our service and custom work.
- Now when you visit our shop, you can see the
latest Specimen creations in the making. You can
also tour the workshop and play any of our custom
guitars and amps.
