This amp circuit is derived from the classic single-ended designs that began in the 1930s.
After building my first one, I was blown away with the sound and my Dynaco Stereo 70 went straight into storage.
The circuit can be used with a variety of different power tubes without modification (e.g., EL34, 6L6, 6550, KT88, KT77, 350B, etc). This amp is a perfect companion for our custom Horn Speakers, but can also be used with most other speakers.
For extra low-end boost, this amp can be paired with our 300-watt subwoofer, a 14-inch cube that houses a Kiega 300- watt plate amp and is built using the same Baltic birch as the amp and can be finished to match.
Color Finishes:
The Specimen Single-ended Stereo Tube Amplifier is made using the same Baltic Birch plywood as our horn speakers and can be finished to match perfectly. Presently we offer the following colors:
