right is an actual Silvertone guitar. The other
two are Specimen creations inspired by the
original.

Specimen enlargement of the Silvertone. It
features a 24-1/2" scale length with a

Tim Hurley (of Red Red Meat, Sin
Ropas) owns the guitar while the bass belongs to
Mark Greenberg (x-the Coctails, Log Letters,
Archer Prewitt's band).
- "I believe Ian read my mind and built
this bass just knowing I would have to have it.
The moment it was in my lap, I knew it would be
with me for a long time. Not only is it hilarious
to look at due to its inflated size, it actually
plays really nicely and sounds GREAT! It is the
kind of bass I can really dig into, very
physical. I loved it so much I ended up getting a
guitar to match. Often, when on tour with the
Coctails, small girls from the audience would ask
to have their pictures taken holding the bass. It
was like a baby holding a king can or a kid with
one of those oversized novelty foam hands that
say 'Our Team-#1!' When I see pictures
of me on stage playing the bass, it looks like
the bass is close but I am far away. This bass is
as close to surrealism as I get." - Mark
Greenberg
